On 8th October 2008, Blue Box Group S.r.l. became a regular member of the Green Building Council Italia.
The Green Building Council (GBC) Italia is a non-profit association promoted by the Società Consortile Distretto Tecnologico Trentino and was established with the aim to:
- foster and accelerate the dissemination of a culture of sustainable building,
- sensitise public opinion and institutions on the impact that the methods of building design and construction have on the quality of life of citizens,
- provide the building industry with clear parameters of reference.

GBC Italia plans to introduce in Italy the independent certification system known as LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – which has established parameters with precise criteria for the design and construction of buildings that are healthy, energy efficient, and with low environmental impact. 
GBC Italia along with its new member Blue Box Group plan to create an organisation that can establish a network among the most competitive Italian and international companies working in the segment of sustainable building and facilitate the dialogue between the most qualified professional communities. It will also be possible to certify buildings based on the most advanced international standards, which will be transposed within the national regulatory system and adapted to the specific characteristics of Italian building construction.
